The case against a Rooderpoort man and his son, who were charged in connection with the recent hostage drama at a Seaview pharmacy, has been postponed in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates court to the 8th of November.
That's because 49-year-old Ernst Lottering still needs to undergo psychiatric assessment and the state stills needs more clarity on several issues.
Lottering and his 20-year old son, Ernst, face a host of charges that include kidnapping and the posession of a dangerous weapon and an explosive device.
Their court appearance is a sequel to the drama at the Aloe Pharmacy, when the suicidal pair briefly held a pharmacist and two assistants hostage, after demanding that she give them lethal injections.
The seven hour siege ended when police, using a stun grenade, stormed the pharmacy and arrested the men.
