Eastern Cape police have temporarily suspended the search for Kareedouw farmer, Fritz Myburgh who was washed away by flood waters on Tuesday evening.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says police have been searching the torrid waters since Wednesday but due to the strong current flow of the river, the search was called off late on Saturday.
She says inclement weather also hampered the search operations.
Naidu says police divers and the dog unit will continue with the search on Monday.
