George Police say the search operation for missing mom Heidi Scheepers and her two children is now a recovery operation.
Rescue officials and a heavy-duty recovery vehicle are currently at Voëlklip outside Herolds Bay in the Southern Cape attempting to retrieve a vehicle that went off the cliff and which is currently partially submerged in the ocean below.
Captain Malcolm Pojie says the search for 35-year-old George resident Heidi Scheepers and her two young children resumed in the area at first light on Thursday morning.
He told Algoa FM News that Scheepers and her six-year-old daughter and two-year-old son were last seen at the beach in Herolds Bay on Tuesday evening.
Scheepers was driving a charcoal-coloured Volkswagen Caravelle and Captain Pojie says they strongly suspect that the vehicle is that of the missing family, even though it was missing its number plates.
He told Algoa FM News that they had not found anyone at this stage.
