Sea rescue officials are frantically searching for a man who went missing off the St Lucia coastline, in northern KZN, at the weekend.
Hilton Grové, a spear-fisherman from Port Elizabeth, went for a free-dive, just before 4-o'clock on Saturday afternoon.
The NSRI's Craig Lambinon says they were alerted after Grové failed to surface.
A rescue team was launched from Richards Bay while police and a Transnet rescue helicopter also joined the search.
Lambinon says emergency personnel took to the water again this morning to try and locate the 31-year-old who's believed to have drowned.
