A total of 107 people will appear in court on Wednesday for allegedly killing a woman by poisoning her at Madadana near Bizana in the Eastern Cape.
On Monday, a group of local residents went to the house of a 49-year-old woman they accused of hiding a man who allegedly raped and killed an 18-year-old teenager on the 31st of December.
Police captain Mlungisi Mathidane said they allegedly forced the woman to drink poison and that she died a short while later.
The group, 38 men and 69 women, will appear in the Bizana Magistrate's Court on Wednesday on a murder charge.
The alleged rapist was arrested last week and has since appeared in court. He remains in police custody.
