SA Rugby says it has noted with deep regret the passing of two young rugby players over the weekend.
They were Avuyile Ngqele and Sihlumile Bandile (both 15).
Ngqele and Bandile, two Grade 10 boys from Selborne College in East London, were due to play for the U16B team against Dale on Saturday but were killed in a car accident in the early hours of the same morning.

Three of their teammates were injured in that collision and as a result, their matches were called off and counsellors were in attendance at the school on Monday.
The driver allegedly took his father's car without permission to go with friends to a nightclub in East London where an international rapper was performing.
The driver and his friends reportedly rushed home after receiving a call from his parents.
One of the learners died on the scene and the other died from his injuries later in hospital.
Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mtati Tana says due to the driver being a minor, the docket has now been handed over to the children's court.
SA Rugby President Oregan Hoskins extended his condolences and sympathy to the families of the three deceased players.
