Eastern Cape police say an investigation is underway into cellphone footage of a man being stoned to death.
Port Elizabeth police spokesperson, captain Stanley Jarvis, says the footage is from an individual's cellphone of an incident that could have happened anywhere in South Africa.
He said the video had nothing to do with the protests in Port Elizabeth last week or the killing of a Somalian man on Thursday.
The video of the attack was aired on eNCA on Friday.
