The South African Communist Party in the Eastern Cape concluded its Provincial Working Committee meeting at the Buffalo City Hall on Sunday.
Spokesperson, Siyabonga Mdodi says the state of the Provincial government and municipalities across the province was discussed.
He says the corruption network in the provincial government continues to pose serious challenges in rendering services to the people of the Eastern Cape.
Mdodi says government should take drastic measures in combating fraud and corruption in pursuit of service delivery and clean governance.
The meeting raised concerns on the report by the Auditor General on the state of the municipalities, as it was revealed that most of the Municipalities are engulfed by mal-administration.
