Nelson Mandela Bay traffic officers impounded an SA Roadlink bus on Friday, because it had worn tyres.
Municipality spokesperson, Kupido Baron, says the bus, ferrying 52 passengers to East London, was pulled off by traffic officers at Coega.
He says they found that apart from the worn tyres, the bus also had defective indicators and headlights, while the windscreen wipers were out of order.
The engine also leaked oil.
Baron says further tests revealed that the brakes were also defective.
He says this was the second Roadlink bus to be pulled off in as many days.
