Former Nelson Mandela Bay communications director, Roland Williams, could know his fate on Monday.
Judgment will be handed down in the Port Elizabeth Commercial Crimes Court after he earlier pleaded guilty to a charge of fraud.
Williams, along with his co-accused, V&R Motors, represented by widow Renika Rungan, pleaded guilty to insurance fraud in January.
He admitted to falsely claiming nearly R100 000 from his insurance company for an accident that never happened.
The state alleged that Williams and Rungan’s late husband, Raven, had defrauded Santam Limited through a fraudulent insurance claim worth more than R100 000 in 2014.
Rungan was shot and killed in October 2015.
