Police are searching for two suspects who held up members at the Middledrift police station in the Eastern Cape on Monday night.
National police spokesperson Brigadier Vishnu Naidu says the suspects, who had their faces covered, stole two rifles.
He says the suspects held two members at gunpoint and demanded firearms.
Naidu says the men eventually stole two rifles and magazines from the safe before locking the members in the toilet and fleeing the scene.
No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
