Request for info: Hit and run victim had string with nail-clipper around his neck

Detectives from Mount Road in Gqeberha is urgently seeking the assistance of the community to trace the next of kin of a man whose remains were found on the N2 freeway several weeks ago.

Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a motorist who was driving from Kabega Park towards Cotswold, noticed the remains of a human being on the evening of the 26th of March.

Police suspect that the man was a victim of a hit and run.

Naidu says the victim is a white man with short brown/grey hair and was wearing a cream and black jacket, Skechers takkies, navy pants, a grey T-shirt and a white check shirt.

She says they also found a black string with a nail clipper around his neck.

The victim also had several distinguishable tattoos and police are hoping that this will help to identify him.

Naidu says on his upper left arm he had a circle with an image of a man with a gun and an inscription around it as well as a bird with another unidentifiable image.

On his right upper arm there is another unidentifiable image and on his right foot an inscription.

A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
