The Minister of Community Safety in the Western Cape Albert Fritz has welcomed the arrest of a man who allegedly kidnapped a young girl in Cape Town.
The 8-year-old Tazne van Wyk has been missing for two weeks.
The 54-year-old Moehydien Pangaker was arrested in Cradock on Monday and is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
Fritz, who initially offered a R10 000 reward to locate the suspect and child, has now amended his reward to information which will lead to locating Tazne only.
He says his department will provide a R10 000 reward to anyone with positive information on the location of Tazne which is then confirmed by SAPS.
