Public hearings on Integrated transport system


The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality will begin a series of public meetings from Monday around the Integrated Public Transport System.

This, in anticipation of the the implementation of the IPTS in October.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Metro said the first public meeting will be held on Monday at 3.30 at the Raymond Mhlaba Centre.

This will be the first of 11 meetings scheduled in areas located along the initial seven routes on which the bus service will operate.

Residents will be provided with information on the exact outes on which the buses will run, the proposed ticketing system and start off points.

The Metro says the implementation of IPTS will bring Nelson Mandela Bay significantly closer to its vision of becoming a world-class city nd will provide commuters with a safe, reliable, convenient and affordable public transport system.
