Twenty-four people are due to appear in court in King Williams Town today following a service delivery protest at Kei Mouth on Monday.
Police said the residents, aged between 18 and 48, were arrested for public violence after barricading roads with burning debris on Monday morning.
Spokesperson, lieutenant Sipokazi Mawisa, says it is alleged that the protest was about the lack of service delivery in the area.
She says while people have a right to protest this should be done in a peacefull manner.
