Two correctional services wardens and one prisoner were taken to hospital when their vehicle overturned in Glentana near George on Monday morning.
Police say the incident happened at around 9 a.m. on the N2 highway near the Glentana bridge.
A preliminary investigation suggests that the vehicle was travelling from Mossel Bay to George when the driver lost control. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The nature of their injuries are not yet known and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
Meanwhile, an Intercape bus travelling on the N2 from Qonce towards East London overturned with 33 passengers on board. Spokesperson for Provincial Traffic Unathi Binqose says nobody was injured in the accident.
