Police in Gqeberha are searching for the driver of a bakkie who shot and wounded a pregnant cashier in her stomach at a drive-through window at a fast-food outlet in Zwide.
Spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge said the shooting occurred late on Monday night in Koyana Street.
“It is alleged that an unknown male suspect shot a female employee of KFC through the drive through window.
“She is 4 months pregnant and was rushed to hospital for medical attention,” Beetge said.
He said the suspect was driving a white Nissan double cab bakkie.
An attempted murder case was opened and is being investigated by SAPS Kwazakele.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation, to contact their nearest police station or the CrimeStop 08600 10111.
