Port Elizabeth police have re-arrested five suspects who escaped from the holdings cells at the Gelvandale Police Station.
Police Warrant officer Alvin Labans said late Friday that a sixth suspect wanted on house breaking charges was still at large.
He says the five had bolted after managing to break a lock on the holding cell door but were re-arrested a short while later.
They were being held for a variety of crimes - from theft, to assault and armed robbery.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation police arrested five people in PE's Walmer township following a spate of business and house robberies in the area.
Labans said this brought to 11 the number of suspects arrested in the Walmer area in the past two days.
