A 74-year-old second-hand dealer from Port Alfred is expected to appear in the local Magistrate's Court on Monday on a charge of the illegal possession of firearms.
Eastern Cape police spokesperson, Colonel Pricilla Naidu says he was arrested during an intelligence driven operation on Friday.
She says a search warrant was executed at the dealership in Biscay Road in Port Alfred, and a shotgun and two rifles were found hidden in a pool table.
Colonel Naidu says the owner could not produce licenses for the three firearms, and he was arrested.
The value of the firearms is approximately R10 000.
