The manager of a popular restaurant/pub in East London has been arrested and the establishment fined following a party over the weekend where no Covid-19 regulations were followed.
The arrest follows the circulation of a video which went viral on social media showing revellers at Buccaneers at the East London beachfront, dancing and drinking with no face masks on and not practising any form of social distancing.
In the viral video, only a single female wearing a yellow top can be seen wearing a mask.

Buffalo City Metro (BCM) spokesperson Samkelo Ngwenya says the establishment was fined R5 000 which will hopefully send a strong message to businesses across the city that non-compliance will not be tolerated.
He says BCM currently has 217 active Covid cases with 2 299 people who have succumbed to the virus in the Metro.
Ngwenya says during their investigation, the establishment's management admitted to contravening regulations.
BCM called on licenced-regulators to take tougher actions against all establishments that break the law as this is in breach of their operating conditions.
Ngwenya says the Covid command council met on Monday morning where it was decided that they will intensify their operations.
The Eastern Cape liquor board condemned the incident which they called disturbing.
