Dozens of people have been arrested in anti-crime blitzes across the Eastern Cape.
Port Elizabeth police arrested 26 people on charges of drunk driving this weekend.
They include three Kabega Park police officers, a prison warden at St. Albans and a medical doctor.
Police spokesperson, major Ernest Sigobe, says the doctor face an additional charge for carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
Meanwhile, police in King Williams Town have arrested 38 suspects for crime ranging from robbery and theft to possession of suspected stolen property.
They will appear in court soon.
