Police vehicle allegedly used in Thornhill robbery

Police are investigating an armed robbery at Thornhill outside Port Elizabeth in which the suspects were allegedly dropped at the crime scene by a police vehicle.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says according to eyewitnesses, four or five men were dropped at a tavern late on Sunday night.
Once the dog unit vehicle left, the men allegedly robbed a woman of five-thousand rand in cash and cell phones, before hijacking a man's car, which they used as a get-away vehicle. .
Naidu says its a matter of time before the police officers involved are apprehended and charged.
