Mthatha police are searching for a suspect following the death of a 51-year reverend from Mount Frere.
Lieutenant Mzukisi Fatyela, says the reverend was stabbed in the upper body late on Thursday night while at the home of a female friend in Kanbi locality near Mthatha.
Fatyela says the male suspect is known to the police and is also believed to be a friend of the late reverend.
Police suspect the motive for the murder to be jealousy.
Still in Mthatha, police have arrested a 43-year old suspect for the possession of dagga with a street value of R11 200.
Fatyela says the man was arrested late on Thursday night at Mamela Taxi Rank.
The suspect will appear in court on Monday on charges of possession and dealing in dagga.
