Police investigate armed robberies in Grahamstown and PE

Police are searching for two men who robbed a petrol station manager at gun-point in Grahamstown on Tuesday morning.

Captain Mali Govender says the men threatened the manager with a fire-arm at around 8 am.

The suspects fled in a black-coloured vehicle after taking an undisclosed amount of money, as well as the manager's
cellphone and his wallet.

Meanwhile: police in Bethelsdorp, Port Elizabeth, are looking for three men who robbed a spaza shop in Chetty on Tuesday morning - also at gunpoint.

Warrant Officer Stanley Jarvis says the men knocked on the shop-door shortly before 6am and asked the assistant for money.

When he refused, one of the suspects stabbed him in the back.

Jarvis says the men fled on foot with good worth more than R6 000.
