Police in Conville in George are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a suspect who escaped from the police station's holdings cells yesterday morning.
Police captain Bernadine Steyn, says a substantial reward will be offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of 32 year old Edwin Jacobs.
A second suspect who also escaped from the holding cells with him, was re-arrested this morning.
Steyn says Jacobs was arrested on Monday for an incident on Saturday afternoon in which a shot was fired at a 24 year old man.
Steyn says anyone who may have information on Jacobs where-abouts should contact the Conville police.
