Police have released the name of the woman who was found murdered in her house in Somerset East.
Warrant Officer, Norman Holtzhauzen, said she was the 67-year-old Johanna Gertruda Buys.He says Buys' 17-year-old granddaughter found her body in a pool of blood on Tuesday afternoon.
Holtzhauzen says police also found a blood stained spade on the premises which is believed to be the murder weapon.
No arrests have been made as yet.An autopsy will only be done on Monday.
