Police have found the body of an Eastern Cape teenager who was reported missing over the weekend.
Police circulated a 'missing persons poster' for the 16 year old Siphosethu Waphi who was last seen in her school uniform on Saturday the 28th.
Police Spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha says police in Butterworth were patrolling an area this morning when they found her body.She was found near a river in a bushy are of Butterworth.
Manatha says they suspect at this point that she was murdered and possibly raped.Waphi was a pupil at the Cunningham Senior Secondary school in Butterworth.
