A police helicopter might be brought in on Tuesday to assist in the search for a possible meteor crash site.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Gerda Swart, says the chopper has been commissioned by the Patensie station commander to assist in the search.
On Sunday, residents in the Patensie and Cambria areas reported seeing a bright light in the sky and then a few minutes later hearing a loud bang.
The Kouga Municipality's Disaster Management team joined the police and Baviaans Nature Conservation in a ground search for any clues on Monday but this was called off by late afternoon.
Algoa FM News also received an unconfirmed report on Tuesday that metal objects had been spotted on a farm in the Cambria area.
This could not be verified by police.
