A 59-year old man has appeared in the Willowvale Magistrates court on a charge of cultivating dagga with a street value of R380 000.
The man was released on R3000 bail on Thursday.
Butterworth police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha says police arrested the man on Wednesday at Mahasana Vilage following a tip off.
They confiscated 500 dagga plants weighing 380 kilograms.
The case was postponed until the 5th of February for trial.
