An exhibition showcasing ground-breaking discoveries over the past decade will open at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University on Tuesday.
The exhibition is titled "Point of Human Origin" and will be housed at the university's exhibition centre on NMMU's Second Avenue Campus.
It will run until the end of the year.
The exhibition features artifacts collected in and around the Pinnacle Point Caves in Mossel Bay.
"That's where it’s believed that a small group of humans survived an Ice Age between 195,000 and 123,000 years ago, and according to scientist could very likely be the ancestors of everyone alive today," a statement said.
