The organisers of this year's Plett Rage Festival say they will follow in the footsteps of the Ballito Rage Festival by tightening rules which include access only to those who are vaccinated against Covid-19.
Last year's Ballito Rage in KZN triggered a probe by the National Institute of Communicable Diseases into a cluster outbreak after the event.
The festival was described as a Covid-19 super spreader event and this year party goers will have to be vaccinated if they wish to attend.
Similarly, the founder and owner of Plett Rage, Ronen Klugman, told Algoa FM news that this year they will require proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
Klugman said they plan to have a super tight structure and will also require that revelers arrive with a negative Covid-19 test result.
The traditional Plett Rage, for thousands of teenagers celebrating the end of their matric year, takes place over two weekends; 3-6 December and 8 to 11 December 2021.
