Pilot makes emergency landing on Plettenberg Bay beach

A fixed wing light aircraft has made an emergency landing on Keurbooms beach in Plettenberg Bay.
The 29-year old pilot, Erasmus Mare managed to glide the aircraft to safety and sustained only slight injuries.
NSRI Spokesperson, Craig Lambinon says the aircraft apparently lost a propellor which had fallen off at approximately 2500 feet.
"The NSRI Plettengberg Bay responded to Keurbooms beach where a single motor light aircraft made an emergency landing.The pilot, the only occupant on board was not injured barring a slight shoulder injury." says Lambinon.
