Police in Knysna are still looking for a well-known Knysna businessman who was last seen on the 9th of May.
Police Spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie says the 65-year-old Egbertus Johannes (Bertus) Scheepers left his house to go to work but returned to his home at Thesen Island later in the day.
He says Scheepers' phone and wallet with all his personal information was found inside his house.
Police are still searching for Scheepers, despite information from a private investigator, Mike Bolhuis, who told the family that Scheepers is alive and wilfully disappeared.
Bolhuis was hired by family members.
He told News24 that there was overwhelming proof that Scheepers disappeared due to family and financial reasons.
Pojie says the police investigation continues and that they still regard Scheepers as a missing person.
