The asset forfeiture unit in Port Elizabeth has seized the farm of a man suspected of dealing in perlemoen.
Jacobus Marthinus van der Mescht's farm Doornkloof near Alexandria was seized on Thursday morning.
The National Prosecuting Authority says it wants the farm forfeited to the State as its being used for the storage and processing of perlemoen.
Van der Mescht has 14 days in which to lodge an objection to the seizure of the farm.
He was arrested along with two Chinese Nationals in July last year when police took possession of 1.6 tons of perlemoen with a street value of R3.5 million.
NPA spokesman Tshepo Ndwalaza says Van der Mescht did not show any resistance when the asset forfeiture unit members arrived at the farm and presented him with the seizure documents.
