Pepper spray robbery on Chinese citizens in Walmer, PE

Three Chinese citizens, who are working on an engineering project in Port Elizabeth, have been robbed by suspects, armed only with pepper spray cans.

Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, says two of the men were in the kitchen of the premises in Albert Road in Walmer, when three suspects entered the home on Thursday.

A third man was in his room.

Janse van Rensburg says the suspects attacked them with pepper spray and tied all three up.

They ransacked the house and left with two cell phones, a watch and cash.

The visitors were not seriously injured and no-one has been arrested.
