Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a 28-year-old pedestrian was killed in an accident in Kariega.
Spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart, said the incident happened at about 18:00 on Saturday night in Durban Street.
She said a member of the community saw the man’s body in the street and called the police.
Swart said the name of the victim will be released once formal identification has been completed.
“Anyone who might be able to assist with information about the accident or who can assist police with the investigation is requested to contact the investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Deon Roos on 079 896 8148 or SAPS Crime Stop at 08600 10111.”
