Port Elizabeth police have opened an inquest docket after a worker fell to his death from the roof of a beachfront hotel.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Alwin Labans, says the accident happened on Tuesday.
He says three men were working on the roof of the Town Lodge when one of the men fell off.
Labans says he was wearing a harness at the time.
The cause of the accident is being investigated and his name is being withheld until his next of kin has been informed.
