A woman was killed in her home in Algoa Park, Port Elizabeth, in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, says two men broke into a couple's home at about 2am and demanded money and the car keys.
Several shots were fired, and the woman was fatally wounded in the head.
She has been identified as 32-year-old Thembisa Nortjé.
Her husband was wounded in the robbery.
No-one has been arrested.
