Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans, says Tertia Bok runs a cleaning business from her home in Cathcart Street, Summerstrand, and became embroiled in an arguement with one of her staff on Thursday.
Labans says she was struck repeatedly on the head and arms with a hammer and suffered multiple fractures.
Her attacker then fled with 2 cellphones, bank cards and a laptop computer.
Labans says the suspect was arrested a few hours later in Walmer location and all the stolen goods were recovered.
