Police in Bethelsdorp, Port Elizabeth, are investigating a case of attempted murder after a seriously injured 47 year old woman and 3 year old child were found lying in a house in Booysen's Park Saturday night.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg said that police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a seriously injured 47 year old woman and three-year-old child were found lying in a house in Booysen's Park Saturday night.
She said community members raised the alarm after they could not find the woman during the course of yesterday.
"At around 6pm, police entered the house and found the woman and the child lying on the floor. They were both rushed to hospital with multiple head injures.," Janse Van Rensburg said.
Captain van Rensburg said police were still trying to establish the motive for the attack and have asked anyone with information to contact the Bethelsdorp Police.
