An 18-year-old teenager was arrested in Port Elizabeth on Sunday afternoon following a shooting incident which took place during the early hours of the morning in Esterhuizen Street in Arcadia, Bethelsdorp.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says four friends were sitting around a fire in front of a house in Esterhuizen Street at 4.20 am, when the suspect walked passed them and opened fire.
A 42-year-old man was shot in both arms and stomach while a 56-year-old was shot in the arm and leg.
The other two men did not sustain any injuries.
Police immediately began hunting for the young suspect and he was arrested by Anti-Gang Unit members at his house in Jenniker Street shortly before 4pm on Sunday.
Colonel Naidu says the suspect is a gang member while the victims are not affiliated to any gang.
He is expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrate court soon on four charges of attempted murder.
