A teenager from Port Elizabeth was fatally wounded after he was shot by his friend in a house in Kleinskool.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says it is alleged that Jadin Daniels and the suspect were playing with a .38 revolver at a house in Kleinskool when a shot went off.
She says the 16-year-old Daniels was hit in the face and died on the scene.
A 19-year-old suspect fled the scene and was arrested not far from the crime scene.
No firearm was recovered.
The teenager is being detained on a charge of murder and is expected to appear in the PE Magistrates Court on Friday.
