A 28-year old taxi driver has been arrested on the R75 between Port Elizabeth and Uitenhage for overloading.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says he was arrested on Tuesday after a 15 seater Toyota minibus was transporting 35 people, of which 20 were high school kids.
He says a case was opened at the Kwadwesi police station, and the driver is being detained.
Bramwell says the man will appear in the New Brighton Magistrate's court on Wednesday.
