PE born swimmer Jessica Roux has been named in Team South Africa for the London Olympics - she's Port Elizabeth's first ever Olympic swimmer.
Jessica qualified for the 10 km Marathon open water swim in Portugal in June and will be joined in the open water team by Durban's Troyden Prinsloo.
Jessica is a former head girl at Collegiate High School and is currently training in Cape Town with the SA open water olympic coach.
The only other Port Elizabeth member of South Africa's 125-strong Olympic team is Banyana Banyana footballer Amanda Sister.
Double amputee sprinter Oscar Pistorius will make his Olympic debut after being added to the SA team in the 4 by 400m relay squad.
