Three suspects arrested by Port Elizabeth police this week following a dramatic car chase and shoot-out have been released.
Police spokesperson, Constable Mcedi Mbombo, says state prosecutors believe that there's not enough evidence against them.
The men were arrested on Tuesday following a dramatic car chase and reported shoot-out involving members of the police's Tactical Response Team.
A 13-year-old school girl was wounded in the first shoot-out reported in Kwazakhele Township.
The police chase ended in Gumpert Street in Schauderville where the three were wounded and arrested by police.
Constable Mbombo says however that the police investigation is still continuing.
