A 33 year old suspect from Port Elizabeth has been arrested in Kimberley for robbery.
Northern Cape police say the robbery allegedly occurred in Hadison Park on Thursday, when the driver of a silver VW Polo forced a Mercedes Benz off the road.
Three men jumped out of the Polo and pulled a 55-year old woman out of her vehicle.
Passing motorists witnessed the incident and stopped to assist.
They apprehended one of the suspects, but the other two fled, after robbing the woman of her diamond ring which they pulled from her finger.
According to the police, the value of the ring is substantially high.
