The Visible Gang Intervention Team has arrested a 23 year old alleged gang member at his house in Gelvandale, Port Elizabeth.
The suspect was sought for a shooting incident which took place on the 4th of January in Kobus Road, Gelvandale, and was arrested last night.
The first suspect, 22 year-old Euwan Baartness was arrested on the 10th of January and has already been charged with attempted murder.
Baartness remains in custody and will be back in court on the 19th of January for a formal bail application.
The man arrested on Thursday night will appear in the PE Magistrate's court on Monday on a charge of attempted murder.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says that on the 4th of January, a 20 year-old man was driving in Kobus Street when he noticed a white open bakkie approach from the opposite direction.
The suspects, one standing on the back of the bakkie and one seated inside the bakkie opened fire at the complainant. Several bullets struck the car but the young man and his two passengers, who are also gang members , were not injured.
