Police in Port Elizabeth are looking for four suspects who robbed a church in Govan Mbeki Street in Central on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says a 26-year-old man was in the prayer room at the church when four suspects entered.
One of the men claimed he needed prayer since he had a pending court case against him. The suspects were looking for the pastor who was not in the prayer room at the time.
The suspects then produced knives and robbed the man of his phone, before ransacking the church.
Labans says they also fled with R9 000 in cash, a laptop, music mixer and a microphone.
No arrests have been made.
