Residents of Kwanoxolo in Bethelsdorp, Port Elizabeth, have taken to the streets again on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Alwin Labans, says they blockaded all entrances to the area with burning barricades.
Residents are protesting over housing and related issues.
Democratic Alliance councillor, Marshall von Buchenroder, says residents are demanding to speak to the officials from the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality's housing department.
"Kwanoxolo residents are raising the issue of housing delivery and rectification of housing, the process being dragged and therefore they would like the officials to come explain to them the process and the completion of this rectification of the housing and they are waiting for the officials to arrive" Buchenroder said
