The Port of Port Elizabeth will be rolling out the red carpet for the arrival of the Queen Mary Two on Wednesday.
Port manager, Rajesh Dana, says its the second time the passenger liner will be putting into port following her maiden call in 2013.
He says the return of the iconic vessel is evidence of Nelson Mandela Bay as an iconic tourist destination.
Dana says its also a reflection of the world class port infrastructure and services that Nelson Mandela Bay ports have to offer.
The Queen Mary is due to slip into Port shortly before sunrise at 5.30 Wednesday morning.
Former President FW de Klerk is one of the passengers on the ship.
Queen Mary 2 weighs over 150 000 ton and is 345 meters long.
She has a crew of 1 200 and space for more than 2 600 passengers.
